    December storm damage in Silverado Canyon, CA - Nick Ut/APCal EMA/FEMA Work to Aid Winter Storm Recovery
    Cal EMA is currently working to aid in recovery following two storm incidents - the winter storms incident that caused damage in 10 counties during December, 2010, receiving a Presidential disaster declaration; and a series of March storms that saw damage to 19 California counties and received a State of Emergency proclamation from Governor Jerry Brown.     Tsunami damage in Crescent City, CA harbor - APCalifornia Receives Major Disaster Declaration following Tsunami
    On April 18, President Obama declared a major disaster for California in response to tsunami damage incurred along the Santa Cruz and Del Norte coastal areas. The tsunami that also that devastated parts of Japan serves as a reminder of California's vulnerability to these types of disasters. Learn more about tsunamis, your risk, and how you can be prepared.
